Some last minute finishing touches!
With opening weekend just around the corner, there were quite a few last minute improvements going on as we proceed to set up the yard as usual.
Doug and Nikki spent the weekend very hard at work getting the big front entrance sign back together, unwrapping some of the beautiful Fraser Fir trees that they brought in from a grower in Ohio, setting up the wreath shed which houses all of our handmade wreaths and decorations and much more! Saturday it was almost 80, t-shirt weather; the next, about 6" of snow!
The day before Thanksgiving, Doug will be traveling through Pennsylvania to pick up another load of trees for the yard, and the Friday after is Jeffersonville's annual parade! Stay tuned for photos from this year's float.
Over the weekend we sold our first TWO trees of the season and a beautiful wreath handcrafted by Doug. Both of the trees sold happened to be Norway Spruce trees, which are deep green in color with short, pointy needles... stop on in and see if this festive spruce is the right fit for your home!
The shack is up and decorated, now all that is left to add are some more wreaths, hot cocoa and cookies and other holiday crafts made right here on the farm! Also featured in the shed is Diehl's Homestead Farm homegrown maple syrup and honey!
We feel it in our hearts that this year is about to be the best yet! we hope to see you all soon!
Remember, only 33 days until Christmas!
From your Friends down on the farm.
